International Soloists Announced for Chamber Series

In September 2026, the acclaimed Modern Composers International Music Festival (ModComFest), will be returning with a special entry that will be hosted in the Spanish city of Barcelona, dedicated to the music and legacy of renowned contemporary composer Max Richter.

Across its duration, from the 15th to the 23rd of September, the festival will present a series of chamber and orchestral concerts, featuring some of the most renowned musicians of our time in live performances of some of Richter’s most celebrated works.

Organisers have now officially released the lineup for this event, which will bring together a distinguished international roster of soloists. Featured artists include amongst them violinists Marc Bouchkov (Belgium), Lir Vaginsky (Israel), Miguel Colom (Spain), and María Florea (Spain); violists Diemut Poppen (Germany) and Joaquin Riquelme (Spain); cellists Sebastian Klinger (Germany), Bruno Hurtado (Spain), and Alexander Chaushian (Armenia/UK); pianists Giuliano Mazzoccante (Italy) and Sofia Raichenko (Ukraine); flautist Albert Mora (Spain), oboist Dolors Chiralt (Spain), clarinettist Josep Fuster (Spain), horn player Ionut Podgoreanu (Spain), bassoonist Thomas Greaves (Spain), and double bassist Yamila Pedrosa (Spain).

Together, these artists will explore the chamber works of Max Richter, forming an intimate and expressive counterbalance to the Festival’s orchestral programme.
