ModComFest Returns with 2026 Edition in Barcelona
This milestone year is dedicated to the music and legacy of Max Richter, one of the most influential voices in contemporary classical music.
Max Richter is one of the most influential composers of his generation, widely recognised for redefining the boundaries between classical, electronic and popular music. Trained at the Royal Academy of Music and under Luciano Berio, his work spans concert music, ballet, opera, film and television, with landmark projects including The Blue Notebooks, Sleep, and Vivaldi: The Four Seasons Recomposed, one of the most streamed classical recordings of all time. Richter has collaborated with leading orchestras, choreographers and filmmakers, and his music has been featured in major films and series, reaching a global audience far beyond the concert hall. Through his distinctive fusion of minimalism, lyrical expression and contemporary sound design, he has played a central role in shaping the sound of 21st-century classical music.
Hosted at the iconic Hospital de Sant Pau and the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Festival will present six concerts across chamber and orchestral settings, continuing its mission to spotlight the composers shaping today’s musical landscape.
