Soloist Spotlight: Miguel Colom to Appear at ModComFest 2026
Currently serving as First Concertmaster of the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir, Miguel Colom has established himself as one of Spain's leading violinists through a distinguished career as both soloist and orchestral leader. He has earned top honors at major international competitions, including the Max Rostal International Competition, the Ibolyka-Gyarfas Violin Competition in Berlin, and the Musical Youths of Spain Competition. In 2021, he further gained international recognition by winning the Orpheus Award at the Manhattan International Competition, leading to a celebrated performance at Carnegie Hall.
As a soloist, Colom has appeared with leading orchestras including the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir, the RTVE Symphony Orchestra, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia, and the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra, among many others.
