Talking About Cinema, Making Cinema – A Different Perspective with Michel Petrossian
On 21 November 2025, as part of the educational and professional programme “Parler de cinéma, faire du cinéma… mais d’une autre façon”, composer Michel Petrossian took part in a special event organised within the Ciné-Œillades framework.
The session explored alternative approaches to cinema, focusing on the creative dialogue between image, sound and music. Drawing on his experience as a contemporary film composer, Petrossian shared insights into the role of musical composition in shaping cinematic narrative, emotion and structure, offering participants a deeper understanding of how music transforms the film experience.
The event highlighted Petrossian’s ongoing engagement with film education and interdisciplinary exchange, reaffirming his position as a distinctive voice in today’s cinematic and musical landscape.
